How to clean chocolate stain on lurex
If the stain is on a light-coloured fabric, remove the excess chocolate, cut a lemon in half, then squeeze one half on the stain. Rub gently. Leave on for ten minutes, then wash according to care instructions. If the stain persists, rub it with a clean cloth soaked in white vinegar. Rinse and wash according to care instructions. For any other type of textile, immediately run the stain under cold water.
If it is deeply embedded, scrape the excess with a round-edge device. Then use a clean sponge with a drop of liquid detergent and cold water to rub the stain gently. Clean beyond the stain, then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Then machine wash according to care instructions.
